WSET Level 1 Award in Wines

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines provides insight and up-to-date knowledge for students who are beginning to learn about wine. You will learn about the main wine types and styles, the appearance, smell and taste of wines. You will also learn how to describe the wine you have tasted in a simple and accurate way as well as the principles of pairing wines with food.

The one-day course is followed by an exam. Participants achieving success in the exam will receive a certificate and pin issued by WSET. This qualification is recognised in many countries as a basic condition for certain jobs.

For whom is it recommended?

  • Those who would like to work in the wine industry, primarily abroad.
